The Problem

Deploying reef structures without testing is risky and expensive. Sea trials are slow, hard to iterate on, and can damage the environment if a design underperforms.

How It Works

REEFASIM simulates each design against real environmental data — temperature, currents, salinity, depth and light — predicting how coral will respond and how the structure will behave over time. Insights feed back into REEFAGEN for optimization.

Technical Notes

Combines physics-based environmental modeling with machine learning trained on lab and field data. Calibrated against REEFA's own 90-day coral growth experiments.
